Just thought I’d do a quick post about the earthquake in Christchurch. Our group is currently training in the southern island town of Wanaka and we were up in the mountains when the quake hit and did not feel it. We are lucky to be here and not in Christchurch-i doubt that our house is in very good condition now, but we will see. The quake was 20km from the city, quite shallow (5pm deep) and pretty violent from the reports we have gotten.
My thoughts and well wishes go out to those in the city. Very scary stuff.

I’m so glad you posted a blog regarding the earthquake as I was quite concerned about yur safety as I’m sure alot of people are, so thank you for doing that. Take care!!

Thanks for all the concern-we were very lucky to be out of the city. I’m not sure when we will be able to go back to Christchurch and our coach has headed back to be with his wife and help out. It’s a terrible situation right now. I will keep up to date with our activities and travels as i know them.
